ON GOLDEN POND

On Golden Pond is a tender, funny, and deeply moving story about love, family, and the passage of time.

Each summer for nearly fifty years, Norman and Ethel Thayer have returned to their peaceful lake house on Golden Pond. Now aging and facing the realities of declining health and memory, Norman’s sharp wit and stubborn independence are balanced by Ethel’s warmth, optimism, and gentle strength.

Their quiet routine is disrupted when their estranged daughter visits with her fiancé — and unexpectedly leaves his teenage son behind for the summer. What begins as an awkward arrangement slowly grows into a meaningful bond, giving Norman a chance to connect with the “grandchild” he never had and opening the door to long-overdue healing within the family.

Filled with humor, heart, and poignant reflection, On Golden Pond explores the challenges of growing older, the resilience of marriage, and the power of human connection across generations. It is a beautifully written classic that reminds us that while time moves on, love endures — and sometimes, there’s still one more summer waiting.

Mark your calendars and bring your family and friends for an evening filled with joy and laughter. Our talented cast and crew have worked tirelessly to bring this classic play to life, ensuring a memorable experience for everyone. We look forward to welcoming you to our theatre!
